Class Boycott in Hong Kong for Climate Action

Today, hundreds of students gathered at Chater Garden in Hong Kong. They were participating in a global student strike for climate action. Most participants were international students who made their own banners and voiced out their concerns.

The demonstration started at 11 am and ended at 1:30 pm. People walked from Chater Garden to the Central Government Complex, where the protesters gathered in Civil Square. Around a thousand students joined this strike.

This climate strike is part of the #FridaysForFuture movement, originating from Europe. Students in many European countries will be participating in a similar class boycott to show their concern about global warming.
