The 2025 Hong Kong Flower Show is set to dazzle visitors from the 14th March to 23rd March in Victoria Park. Having “Ablaze with Glory” as the theme, the show this year features Cosmos as its theme flower. With the floral display works from over 200 local, Mainland, and international exhibitors, not only does this vibrant paradise promise a breathtaking experience, but also a good admission price. Beyond the incredible blooms, the show offers various recreational activities, including music and cultural performances, floral art demonstrations, etc. We received responses from 100 participants of different age groups on the first day of the Flower Show, and we wrote down the top 3 group activities you absolutely do not want to miss if you’re going there with your friends or family.
No. 1. Flower viewing in Floral Marquee

It goes without saying that outdoor flower viewing is a must-do activity for people who go to the Flower Show. But imagine flower viewing in a place where you are surrounded by unique floral artworks. Floral Marquee, one of the highlights of the 2025 Hong Kong Flower Show, is a venue that exhibits floral artworks that were designed and created to tell stories, providing a museum-like experience for its visitors.

Muskaan Kalra, a 20-year-old college student who was visiting the Floral Marquee with her friends said, “I like flower viewing here more (when compared to outdoor viewing) because I get to see how my friends and I interpret the meanings of certain flowers and relate them with different themes, like love and nostalgia. Also, there is air-conditioning so we get to cool down after walking outside.” If you want a place to chill, away from the sun and talk to your friends about flowers, flower viewing in the Floral Marquee would be a second-to-none choice.
No. 2. Greening workshops

Being ranked the second favourite group activity, greening workshops are set up in multiple locations. Participants of these greening workshops will get hands-on with nature by using natural resources like leaves to decorate certain things, like recycled woods and other environmentally friendly materials. Not only can greening workshops unleash the creativity of participants, but they can teach participants to cherish natural resources and find a way to reuse materials to reduce waste.
Yiling Leung, a 76-year-old visitor said, “If I came here with my grandchildren, they would learn to appreciate nature through the greening workshops. I think it is very educational and memorable because you get to keep the final product.” While some of the workshops require visitors to sign up beforehand, some don’t. So, if you wish to join one of the sessions or a particular workshop with your friends or family, remember to check them out here before your upcoming visit.

No. 3. Photo taking

It’s not an everyday occurrence that Hong Kong people get to witness thousands of beautifully organised flowers blooming at the same time. The flower show provides a precious opportunity for Hong Kong people to take pictures with stunning and vibrant floral backgrounds in this concrete jungle, attracting professional photographers, locals and tourists to take snapshots across the venue. Why take a selfie when you can ask your friend to take an aesthetic photo of you while including these floral decorations in the background?

Apart from floral decorations, there are also animal sculptures crafted entirely from flowers and plants, offering a perfect background for parents who want to take memorable and cute pictures of their kids. Mr. Lee, who came here with his granddaughter said, “She is too young to join those greening workshops. So, I just take her around and take pictures of her. She really likes these animal-shaped plants.” From a pink hippo to a giant seahorse, each sculpture showcases the beauty of horticulture and brings unlimited space for imagination for the kids.

Besides the top 3 ranked group activities mentioned above, there are also other activities organised throughout this year’s Flower Show. Although they are not the most popular among our respondents, it doesn’t make the rest of the activities not worth checking out. In fact, there are a lot of interesting activities that are not available on the first day of the Flower Show coming up. Click here to plan for your visit and make the most out of your time there.
