The Hong Kong Arts Festival held a two-week large scale community dance program “HKArtsFestival@TaiKwun” from March 2 to 10. The free admission program featured street dance battle, family dance theater and workshop, film screening, hip hop culture exhibition, site-specific dance performance and more. It provides participants with new experience enjoying performing arts in the revitalized historical site.
This year, the theme of the Hong Kong Arts Festival is “At Every Stage”, exploring different performance stages as well as showing different stages in performers’ lives. Bringing dance to Tai Kwun is one of the attempts of exploring new sites for performance.
