The 9-day event from October 25 to November 2 showcased top international and local talent competing for the coveted title. In a day of thrilling finals, Victoria Mboko of Canada emerged victorious against Spain’s Cristina Bucsa for women’s singles, while Yafan Wang and Xinyu Jiang of China struck gold against Japanese Momoko Kobori and Thai Peangtarn Plipuech for women’s doubles.
An event vendor, Mr. Lee, shared his thoughts on the event’s significance. “This tournament brings a lot of visitors and attention to tennis in Hong Kong. We’re happy to be part of it, even just a little bit,” he said, smiling as he prepared merchandise for fans.
